Here's how my backyard looked when my pond was just a dream.

June 11, 2006 (Day 1) 8:35am - After marking the shape of the pond with spraypaint the "Pond Diggers" from Exotic Aquatics begin their digging.

8:59 - The dirt from the hole is toss in the corner to make the hill. They are measuring to set the height for the waterfall.

9:24 - While digging the hole for the pond, they found where the sprinkler and water lines went. Oh well, just cut them and cap them - we can use a hose to water for now!

9:39 - Uh oh, we found more lines. This time they're galvanized and we have no idea what they go to. Fortunately they seem to be right on the edge of the plant shelf, we'll just leave them alone.

9:46 - The guys are using a jack hammer to break up the ground and make digging easier. 'Cmon guys, the ground's not that hard!

9:47 - Moving the plastic framework for the biofalls (waterfall) into place.

9:49 The water line that will feed the waterfall is in place and will be buried inside the hill.

10:34 - Digging out to make room for the skimmer.
